WOW, I suck at WOW!
So...I've started playing WOW.
I know, I know...there's a lot to be said about that - but I have to say overall I'm enjoying it. I'm not sure if I'm good at it or if the Pandaren Warrior is just massively overpowered, but so far its been a lot of fun. After a few days I'm already at level 15 and figured it might be a good idea to get a subscription if only for a month and try this out a little while longer. It will also be a good time sink before the trip to Europe to keep me from spending too much money - so in a backwards way, this is also a good thing.

This is not my Pandaren. |
For what its worth as a quick, newbie review, the game is quite fun and I can see now how people get so entranced with the world so early on. The reward to work ratio is incredibly high, and despite the entire planet having been engulfed in warfare (it IS called World of Warcraft) everyone is still wearing delightfully bright colors and have mostly cheery dispositions. I can even feed the homeless of Westerfall (or whatever it is, I'm not up with the geography yet) without the concern of being (probably deservedly) knifed, which is a strange feeling in and of itself as a resident of the Chicago suburbs.
Not to mention the Pandarens are painfully adorable, even when swinging broadswords. I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of time I was able to spend in actual Pandaria, but I have a feeling that if I ever end up buying that expansion pack that I'll be delighted with a return to the Homeland (is that how this even works? I have no idea....) so that being said I'm off to do some more questing! Maybe I'll gain a few more levels before the end of the night! (Totally not avoiding doing homework btw).
